The Faculty of Economics and Behavioral Sciences of the University of Freiburg invites applications for a

Full Professorship (W3) for Economic Theory and Macroeconomics (NF Landmann)
in the Department of Economics.
Fulltime position, Start-date: At the earliest possible date.

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct research and to teach in the field of economic theory. Applications of the latest methods to the solution of modern challenges and publications in relevant peer-reviewed journals are expected. A focus on open economics macroeconomics, international monetary theory of business cycle theory is appreciated.


Primary responsibilities include teaching of macroeconomics in the bachelor and master programs in economics and management science as well as teaching PhD students. The ability and willingness to teach in English is expected.


Prerequisites for the employment of Professors are a university degree, an outstanding dissertation and an excellent publication record. Substantial achievements and experience in academic research and teaching, at the level of a Habilitation according to the German academic system, are expected.
